Best way for configuring my VDSL setup with Netcomm modem and another router

Hi,I have swithed over to VDSL in the last few months and am currently using a Netcomm nf4v n300 modem/router with the wireless turned off supplying my Netgear DGND3700 n600 modem/router(better range and better setup for usb storage) through the gigabyte port from the Netcomm.I want to simplify the setup a bit if possible, and reduce any NAT restrictions or latency through firewalls for online gaming and such.2 options:1- I was wanting to either buy an asus DSL-N66U n900 modem/router as it is the best vdsl modem I could find.http://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/Asus-DSL-N66U-ADSL2-Dual-Band-Wireless-N900-Router/22277264But it doesnt have ac wireless, just n, which I would have liked with my next router upgrade.2- I could alternatively reconfigure my Netcomm to simply be a vdsl modem to supply a router and get a Netgear Nighthawkhttp://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/Netgear-Nighthawk-AC-Dual-Band-WiFi-Gigabit-Router/21729477Is it easy to configure the Netcomm without the router functionality so it is not going through 2 router protocols and can get the best out of my network? What is the better option and best way to set up the second option if that is the way to go?Thanks
