Cat5e to connect VDSL Splitter to Telephone Wall Socket

Hi folks will connecting the Vdsl splitter to the wall socket with Cat5e cable make a difference to the download and upload speeds.I hear it does make quite a difference.I hear swapping out the the old ADSL splitter will make a differnce as wellany ideascheersRick
