DrayTek Vigor 120 sync is almost 50% slower than 2wire/linksys

Hi all,I'm having some trouble with a brand new DrayTek Vigor 120 modem. Previously I have been running a Linksys AM300 with sync speed of 7.9Mbps / 0.8Mbits until I started having problems.Per the typical advice of telecom, I tried their router 2wire 2701HGV-W and was getting a sync rate of 8.8Mbps/1Mbps (see full details below)

However, this modem has junk I don't want or need such as wireless, firewall that can't be disabled and DMZPlus mode that just doesn't work.So I ordered a Vigor 120 in the hopes I could run PPPoA -> PPPoE bridged and get only what I need. However, the sync speeds for this new modem are almost half of the other two. Anywhere from 4.6Mbps to 5.5Mbps download.--------------------------- ATU-R Info (hw: annex A, f/w: annex A) ----------- DSL Modulation : ADSL2+(G.992.5) State : SHOWTIME DS Actual Rate : 5647496 bps US Actual Rate : 1001118 bps DS Attainable Rate : 6692000 bps US Attainable Rate : 1001000 bps DS Path Mode : Fast US Path Mode : Fast DS Interleave Depth : 64 US Interleave Depth : 1 NE Current Attenuation : 33 dB Cur SNR Margin : 14 dB DS actual PSD : 18. 4 dB US actual PSD : 12. 1 dB ADSL Firmware Version : 321311_A -------------------------------- ATU-C Info --------------------------------- Far Current Attenuation : 14 dB Far SNR Margin : 11 dB CO ITU Version[0] : 00004244 CO ITU Version[1] : 0000434d DSLAM CHIPSET VENDOR : < BDCM >It seems the DSLAM is using a broadcom chipset. But the AM300 has a TI one and still was syncing faster. I don't know my distance, but est based on 2wire attenuation of 1.5km.Is there anything that can be done to get a better speed out of the vigor? I've tried playing with the modulation but no luck.I'm running the modem direct to a Linux box for firewall routing btw.Cheers
