Last year I installed a Cisco 3845 at a client's business. I've just bought one for use in my own business. In both cases the WAN link is ethernet fibre and the use is general internet traffic and minor VPN.I was wondering - what's the next upgrade step? The 3845 is afaik last generation so the subsequent model will still be new and at Cisco prices, probably a lot more than I want to spend....The 3845 is rated at 500k PPS or 256Mbps. What is a good next step, preferably with used equipment? Or am I going to have to get new to upgrade from here?Note: I am asking a specific question about Cisco hardware here. I'm not after a debate. Thanks.
