I do not trust ipcams with port forwarding, most of them have back doors from what I've read and are easily compromised. So for the time being I have no access from the outside into my local network to view these cams when off-site. I run my cams through a Synology Diskstation (Surveillance Station Application). It works very well locally. Is there a secure way to access these feeds? For example should I setup a linux box that has the feeds running, then VPN remote desktop to that box. Might need some hand holding here. I know I could VPN to my NAS box but it houses some business data so worry about that. Hmm
