Some time ago I upgraded my cable internet access for higher speed, and that required a swap out of cable modems to accommodate the different technology.My question is, does the same thing apply for DSL? For example, upgrading ones service from say DSL through ADSL and its iterations to the highest available, do any of those upgrades require a newer or different type of modem?
