Not quite sure what is causing this but the laptop is an Alienware 14 (thanks BigPipe!) and the switch is a Netgear 16pt Prosafe Gigabit Switch sitting in the comms room (image here), anyone have any ideas why my touchpad stops working? I've also noticed that sometimes my touchpad goes a little crazy when it is hooked up to normal AC power indicating maybe an earthing issue in the house?I've replaced the power cable on my switch thinking it was potentially not earthed but appears it is. If I plug it directly into my router the issue is still there but on a far less extreme level.
