Related to a post I raised yesterday, after doing isolation tests on the jack points around the house I have 1 point that can get a reliable adsl connection. The rest are hit and miss. Among those points that cannot get a connection is the point that has the phone which works fine. Also I thought the modem/router plugged directly into the point with no filter which is how it's been setup last couple weeks. Now it only connects if the filter is on as well. Strange. On the points that don't connect I can still log into the modem and see connection stats - downstream and upstream link rate look fine as does line attenuation but the noise margin on the downstream hovers between 0 or a negative number. On the upstream it sits at 12db.Anyone have any idea what is wrong here?
