Hi,(Not sure if this is the right forum, if not please let me know) I manage a Student Hostel with about 50 residents and want to improve the sharing of two VDSL circuits. We are on the edge of the VDSL range and typically get 16Mb/s down and 3Mbps up speed for each VDSL.The VDSL's are connected to a hardware device a GIS-R10 (see http://www.guest-internet.com/guest_internet_gis_r10_hotspot_gateway.html). There is a Gigabit switch connected to the GIS-R10 which then connects to a number of Wireless AP's and ethernet jackpoints around the hostel.Residents connect to the WAP's or jackpoint then get a splash screen to logon to the GIS-R10 which limits the upload and download speed, and total monthly download quantity.I am having problems with the second VDSL connection disconnecting every 12hrs or so which can only be rectified by a reboot of the hardware device. I have not had much help from the vendor supplier and am looking for an alternative system for regulating residents internet access so that all get a fair share.Any recommendations? Thanks Hans
