I have been using the Spark Huawei HG959b for about 6 weeks now and noticed that the Wifi seemed flaky.Whenever I changed any other settings such as adding storage to the USB or adding a printer the wifi would drop out on my phone and tv'sI also had problems when I changed the channels at times on the wifi on either 2.4G or 5GThe only way I could resolve the issue was to restart the modem after saving my changesI had checked when I got the modem that I had the latest firmware installed from the Spark Website and it was.However today I checked again and it seems they have upgraded it.The new version is On an HG659b: V100R001C227B020http://www.spark.co.nz/help/internet-data/equipment/huawei/hg659-gateway/update-modem-firmware-huawei-hg659/Ensure you pick the right one HG659bI have now installed the latest version so will see if the flaky wifi issue has been resolved.As an aside I notice that you cannot get all the 5G wifi channels as described in the Radio Spectrum Management from the from the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment.It is the same as before. I may try running it on Auto now to see if I can get a greater bandwidth on my phone and tv's
