Demarcation wiring help

I've searched around and I think I know the answer to this, but would like some clarification if at all possible.

In my demarcation box I have a 4 wire black cable coming into the box. It has brown/yellow/black/white wires inside.

The black/yellow pair are left un-terminated free in the box.

The brown/white pair are hooked up to a couple of white phone cables into the house.

I want to run a new cat6 cable (because I don't have any alternative cable lying around) back to my comms cupboard but don't want to connect the wrong pair at the demarcation box.

I had planned on connecting the cat6 blue/blueWhite pair to the demarcation cable's brown/white and don't think the polarity of the wires matters. eg brown-to-blue or brown-to-blueWhite will work the same. Is this correct?
