Hi I need someone to install Cat5E/Cat6, extruded mount rj45 jacks, and possibly a 4-5way patch panel amongst 4 rooms. One room near the VDSL router will have the patch panel and a gigabit switch which we already own. The other 3 will just have a single socket each most likely. Each cable run is approximately 5-10 metres max.I started doing this myself, but managed to destroy my cheap plastic punchdown tool, then used a flat edge screwdriver instead which (if I'm guessing correctly) leveraged the blade connectors too far apart on the back of the sockets so that they did not puncture the insulation on the cable cores properly. Lessons learned.As I've already drilled holes, and purchased face plates which are now screwed on to the wall I'd like someone to add on to what I've already done so my time was not wasted.Thanks. Personal messages most welcome.(I've had two very expensive qoutes from companies found in the yellow pages already, including one from a pushy SA guy who insisted that he knew better what we wanted than I did and kept trying to upsell us extra stuff we do not want or need. I just want someone affordable who listens to what we want, and does it.)
