What’s the Best location for a master filter/splitter when installing a Signet ST2206?

I'm about to install a Signet ST2206 and wondering where the best location for the master filter/splitter is:

On the ST2206 in the patch panel located in the garage with the modem,

Or up 30m of CAT5e in the Demarc point on the side of the house?
