I have 2 HG659 modems from Spark and would like to make an access point

I have 2 HG659 modems from Spark and would like to make an access point on 1 of them. I tried disabling DHCP on the 2nd modem and changing the IP address on the 2nd modem and it still not working. I also plugged the Ethernet cord into LAN1 port on the 1st HG659 modem (MAIN) into the LAN1 port on the 2nd HG659 modem (Access Point) but it still does not work.

Any suggestions on how to make the the 2nd modem work as an access point. I also have Spark Fibre
