I hate networking. I really do. It is finicky, unintuitive, and I don't understand it.[/rant]I am trying to change my DNS4ME setup from devices to Huawei router. There is a nice, simple page for that under LAN settings. I enter both IPs, click apply, even reboot the Huawei. So everything works, right?I wish. I assumed it did and ended up going in circles for a day because of that assumption. It doesn't do a damned thing. It looks fine, the settings are there, no error messages, nothing to indicate anything is wrong, but it doesn't bloody work!If I change the DNS per device, it works as it should, but not via the Huawei. Can anyone explain this really annoying thing to me? I saw something about it on the Spark forum but I am not on Spark and don't have a Spark SIM card and even if I did I don't understand what the problem is. Like I said, I hate networking. And just to get the obvious out of the way, no I am not using a wi-fi connection. My pc is on the LAN and according to my understanding of the Huawei settings page, the DNS settings should be working. Except they aren't.
