I have already tried to disable the wifi on my main router and still not working. Tried to disable the AP wifi leaving the Main one and still not connecting. Not sure if @freitasm or @2degreesCare and @NickMack is able to help me out :D.

So the devices I have in my house is:

1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 MAIN

1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 Refurbished (will be using this one as access point)

1 x ONT

Connection process-

1. One Ethernet cable is plugged into the ONT port 1 slot. The other end of the same Ethernet cable is then plugged into the LAN 1 port slot of the "1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 MAIN". This setup is to ensure a fibre internet connection.

I then for the "1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 Refurbished" I did all your suggested configuration onto my router via computer pc before plugging it into the "1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 MAIN".

2. - I then grabbed another Ethernet cable and connect/plugged one end to the LAN 4 of the "1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 MAIN". The other end of the same ethernet cable, I connect it to the LAN1 of the Access point (1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 Refurbished).

* Configurations done to the "1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 Refurbished" were:

Setup - select country etc

Made sure to apply the "2degrees - Performance on faster plans - Tips & Tricks" to the "1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 Refurbished"

Updated firmware

Set it to IP Client mode

Make sure both 2.4ghz and 5ghz SSID is the SAME as the 1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 MAINSet the wifi channel for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz to a different channel. What I mean by this is I made sure the wifi channels for the "1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 Refurbished" were different to the 1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 MAIN. That way no interference would occur.

DISABLED DHCP by following: "

Click "Home Network" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.

Click "Network" in the "Home Network" menu.

Click on the "Network Settings" tab.

Click the "IPv4 Addresses" button. "

I remember hearing from somewhere that I should also do the:-

-You need to disable most of the features (ie DHCP, firewall etc)

- Also don't plug the LAN cable into the WAN port of the access point, it needs to be in one of the LAN ports.

- Change the access points IP address to something different than the main router (Really unsure how to do this..teach me please thanks).

So yeah, this is what I have done. Please spare a moment to read and let me know what else is missing?

Oh and can someone tell me what values do i need to put in for this setting? Screenshot: https://unsee.cc/d3e49e85/

- I notice that I am unable to NOW access the 1 x Frtiz!Box 7490 Refurbished (AP) Unless I use the emergency IP address http://169.254.1.1

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

Mike.
