Need a USB adaptor for 5g modem

HI all,

I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to networking (almost clueless) I always thought the reason my WiFi speed was only 50mbs compared to the 200mbs when I used a cable was because that was the max speed he router could do over the wireless, but I have recently discovered that the router also casts a 5g signal which of course allows the full 200mbs I can get (I'm on Vodafone fibre-x 200-50).

The problem is my laptop will only detect the 2.4g signal so as far as I am aware I need one of those USB adaptors which can pick up the 5g and put into the laptop.

I am wondering where I can get one of these cheap and what I need to look for when buying one? My computer runs windows 7 64bit. I have found some on the PB tech website whicheck I think will work but they are about $35 and thought they might be cheaper on aliexpress or some other site?
