Working on a project to run ethernet from the main house to granny flat via a buried conduit. Would prefer to not have to learn to terminate cable just for this, and figured could use keystone wall plates at each end. However, I can't figure out where best to buy the cable --- I suspect it should be external rated (as will be in conduit outside) and would need somewhere around 60-80m in length which doesn't seem readily available online. Is there a service that cuts the required length for you and terminates it? Also is cat6 strictly better than cat5e, or is it harder to work with?
