Parental control/site blocking etc

Hi all,

Wondering what is currently the best option for parental control over kids devices - these days software/apps really don't cut it due to the number of smart devices around (TVs, game consoles etc).Sounds like a DNS service might be a good option possibly? Keen to hear what people are doing and what works well.
