I have a notebook computer I frequently refer to for various things. It is on wi-fi and I have it set to sleep when the lid is closed. Until recently this has always worked perfectly. If I want to check something on-line, I just open the lid, tap the touchpad and I'm good to go.The other day a Win 10 update was forced on me. Since then, I have trouble connecting to the wi-fi when waking the notebook. Sometimes it works normally like it used to, but most of the time it says I don't have an Internet connection and I have to reconnect manually by clicking on the wi-fi icon. Sometimes I have to turn it off and on to get it to reconnect, and it can take quite a long time searching before it finds the network.Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there any way to get Windows to save the connection information so it doesn't have to search for it again each time. I never had this problem until the last update. Previously the wi-fi connection would come on almost immediately after the computer awakened. Now I have to fiddle with it all the time. Why do updates always seem to break something? It gets very tiresome.
