Hey guys I have telstraclear broadband and have been trying rather frustratingly and to no avail been trying to set up wireless I'm even at the point where I'm prepared to pay an IT guy to come set it up for me but since most charge 120+ just for a callout I hoping you guys can help me out before I rather sadly have to resort to that option. Anyway like I said I have telstraclear broadband that came with a dynalink rta1320v6 modem/router and from my research is basically considered a piece of crap? Lol. Currently I have this modem connected to my desktop and it is the only device in my house that can pick up and connect to the internet. No other device in the house can pick up a connection if this modem is also a router why can't other devices pick up a connection? I also have a netgear wgr614 v6 router from a previous setup so I thought I would bring this into the fray and see if it could fix my problems when I connect the dynalink modem via Ethernet cable to the router other devices can pick up and connect to the signal but despite this wireless still doesn't work at all with the exception of my laptop which it the only device that I can get internet on (although horrible connection) with my setup with this configuration the desktop connection won't work in this configuration also. I have also tried using this site 192.168.1.1 and trying different settings but no luck there either. What am I doing wrong? From my research my modem is being the biggest hurdle in all this and really does sound like a piece of junk? With that I'm thinking I might buy a 2 in 1 modem router and start fresh with that am I heading in the right direction or? If I am what would you guys recommend that's not too expensive? My main internet uses are things like youtube, internet radio, downloading torrents etc bascially just your average use so I don't think I need anything top of the link and unfortunately my money situation isn't the greatest so without sounding cheap a relatively inexpensive option (if one exists) would be great.I will be happy to provide any more info if you guys need, I look forward to your responses, thanks. :)
