My friend who came to visit one day brought his 2 year old laptop and tried to connect to my home wifi, he uses Windows xp sp3. Anyways, when I typed in the password it said Acquiring Address for about 5-10 minutes and then alerted us that the connection had failed. I looked up solutions on Google and tried cleaning his computer of Malware, Disabling and enabling the router and his Wifi Adapter, Trying different passwords as well as cleaning and tuning his PC of reg errors etc.I posted here because I am wondering if anyone has any Ideas to solve this issue, I'll keep looking for more solutions and I would appreciate it if you could reply with some suggestions... This is very uncommon for me and I'm really confused :/
