Okay I had to remove my trusty Cisco RV042G from the office because we have upgraded to Fibre and it doesn't support VLAN tagging - d'oh! And Telecom say they don't support removal of the VLAN tags which would let me keep my lovely router in place :(Can anyone please help me configure a RouterBOARD RB750GL to do PPPoE and VLAN tagging as needed? The documentation is like gibberish to me, it's clearly for network engineers who I absolutely respect but I am not one! It's an amazing little piece of kit which I bought last year to one day play with and teach myself how to use but I keep hitting a brick wall and I never intended to have to use it in such short notice. Does anyone have a config file they could upload to at least let me connect to the internet and then afterwords I can set the port forwarding/firewall? I manage to get a PPPoE connection, and I think the NAT is set correctly (Masquerade, PPPoE out (not ether-gateway)) but I still can't get through to the internet.Or, alternatively, could someone suggest a new router to buy? A comparable model to the SOHO-level Cisco RV042G? Really our network is not appropriate for the P.O.S. Technicolor Chorus left when they put the ONT in. If I am going to configure all the Rules/Port forwarding etc etc again by hand I really would like to do it only once on a piece of kit that is going to stay in the office with gigabit switches multiple UniFi APs etc, and right now some of our printers do not like the P.O.S. Technicolor!I am gonna try harassing GoWifi and see if they can help me with the RouterBOARD / suggest something else, but since I know there are Telecom guys here and many others who have to deal with this on a regular basis, I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.Thanks in advance!
