Hi guys.I will connect with snap VDSL2 in the coming days. I do not want to buy a modem/router from them. My network will vastly expand over time as I empliment the things I want to, IE, access points, switches, audio visual surveillance etc.I would like to get something cheap to act purely as a modem and use a asus RT-N66U to be the starting point for everything else. In this thread(post two) chevrolux recommends a draytek dv130 for this application. http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=66&topicid=136864 . In fact this thread helped me a lot in establishing the way I want to go about my networkI believe the term for this setup is bridging. But here in the trademe listing for the draytek it states."Please note that PPPoE passthrough and bridging is currently not supported for connections which require the insertion of an 802.1q VLAN Id. Support for this is due soon and will be announced here when it is available. "http://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/networking-modems/modems/auction-738544141.htmWill I be able to use the item in the tardeme listing for my application? If not, can you guys point me to another item that will work in my set-up?Cheers in advance.
