HiI have a slingshot all you can eat VDSL account. I got a free VDSL modem with it, Energy Imports, it's the standard Slingshot offering. When I got VDSL, I did not know what to expect, so I figured I'd stick with 'free' and go from there. This modem is now dying/stalling at least once a week, but my browsing and streaming habits are catching up with what VDSL can handle. I have no experience in VDSL devices and I have a basic list of requirements, if somebody has similar requirements to me and can recommend a good modem, I'd be very grateful.I have a Synology NAS device and want to use the VPN/Web features securely (selective port forwarding only, please).I have a WDTVLive device and I want to use the streaming/browsing features mostly with no chopping. My friends and I have smartphones/tablets so I would love some level of guest isolation for guests and good throughput for trusted.I have a few computers and I work with computers, so it need to be good for large downloads (ISO images, installers etc.).I use all the network functionality of the Synology NAS, so it does not have to handle DHCP, DNS or anything like that, it also does not need more than one Ethernet port as I have a good switch. My budget is $200.ThanksGund
