Gday GZ !Actually in a remote location I have 'good' connection for the place...My actual setup Netgear DG834v4 (DGTeam) - Netgear R7000 (DDWRT)The SNR tweak able me to have a 5Mbs than a 3Mbs, so it's important, it's not just for the stats. My problem is my provider (BigPipe) or Chorus works with PPPoA, and with this setup I'm not able to put the DG834 in bridge mode, thanks PPPoA... So i'm using a double NAT configuration with a DMZ.I made few tests, I have 2 other modems but useless is this caseLinksys WRT160N - can sync but no tweak possible, very bad box, I don't like it.Huawei from Spark - a better line attenuation (49dB, I have 52dB with the netgear), but no root access...So I'm looking for a 'good' modem !- With a good line attenuation like the Huawei (Yes I know... but on long line like mine, every dB is important), but difficult to predict this result...- PPPoE - PPPoA passthrough bridge capable (like DrayTek modem)- SNR tweak capable (Broadcom chipset only I presume)I did a lot of search, and it's not easy, so several brains are better than one, if you know some brands / modem in mind, feel free to share. I think a newer model could be have better performances, and just a modem should be more appropriate and cheaper.cheers,And yes, every optimizations on my wires have been already done
