So I have been in contact with a very helpful (so far) netgear service department.They have agreed the unit a ReadyNAS NV+ v2 is faulty and instigated a RMA protocol.At the moment there seems to be some confusion as to what unit it will be replaced with.This has bearing on whether I will be able to save the 8tb of data I have and back it up to the new system I believe?.I was impressed that I have been receiving replies through the holiday period.At present I am waiting to hear where to send the unit to as apparently I am suppose to bear this cost.If the unit was sold in New Zealand I should imagine that our Draconian Consumer laws would only require return to the place of purchase in New Zealand, wouldn't you agree? I will be impressed if this all happens as I only have less than 1 month in the 3 year warranty.I will post progress here
